Hi, long time no see! I've been recovering from a hand injury that left me unable to type excessively, so I had to hold back on Noel's looooong monthly essay until it got better ;o; I hope it's worth the wait! This month he answers some questions (as usual) and gives us some behind the scenes on the prep work for WOD ^^

Recently it hasn’t been raining much, and so LA’s been really dry, but in consideration of that I’ve been drinking a lot of liquids and doing my best with this well-hydrated body (*´꒳`*)

Since I’m approaching each day as though it’s a training trip, I’m going through the days while making sure to treasure my different ways of living, like properly resting during days off, or making sure not to ignore the things I like while working hard, or the routine of cutting my nails on dates with a “0” in them~! ☺️

And with that, I’d like to bring you this monthly update with even more “fun!” sentiments than usual! (peace)

Ever since Traja went to LA, I’ve realised how important of an existence Travis Japan are to me.

What should I do with these intense feelings~~~?!

Face the direction of LA and yell out loud~! We’ll be able to hear you~!

Q. (Shu mai)

If someone told you, you could only eat this together with rice for the rest of your life, what would you pick? I’d definitely pick natto!

My mother, who watched the AGT video yesterday, was so moved by it she almost went to buy a cake. With that, please let me know what kind of cake you’d like to eat right now~!

I’m learning how to backflip right now, since I look up to Noel-kun! I’d love it if you could teach me some of the tricks to getting a hang of it! Recently, I tried it for the first time, with support, and successfully did a backflip. The view was amazing!

Oh! I’m happy! And, wow!

The fact that you said the view was amazing means you saw the way everything flipped as you turned around, I think 😏

Someday, you’ll become able to flip while looking down at the ground at the moment you jump! You won’t be able to see the amazing view any more, but if you can do that then you’ll be able to backflip more safely!

Speaking of tricks to getting the hang of it, you should make sure you do it in a straight line, and don’t bend your knees too much, and press down off the ground from your shoulders, and clench your ab muscles and snap out your back muscles. (That’s a lot)

In order to avoid any major injuries, you should stay faithful to those principles, I think! Do your best :)

Hello, Noel-san! I’m working part-time at a bakery right now; Noel-san, do you like bread? If there’s a type of bread you like, I’d be happy if you could let me know! If I see that bread while I’m working, then I’ll be able to think of Noel-san and do my best at work…

I love bread so much I went for baking lessons, you know; I love it! I love bread like pão de queijo* and sugar twists!

You’ve worked hard! Don’t push yourself too hard at work, okay. Just be you.

I’m sending you this question now as I’m getting my hair bleached for the first time; if you have any advice for me as a senpai of bleached hair, please let me know!

Hello!

I was about to be like, Ohh!, but it’s been about a month since I went blonde and my roots are pretty pudding-like right now*🍮

[ T/N: ‘Pudding’ is slang for when your (black) roots grow out from a dye job; the name comes from how the black roots on blonde/bleached hair looks like the caramel syrup on top of an egg pudding. ]

A senpai of bleached hair ☺️ Fufufufufu.

Here’s some advice to make life more fun!

The way your heart will skip a bit when you look in the mirror in the first 5 days or so after bleaching - if you can keep that going for the subsequent days (even if it’s falsely-induced) then you’ll look forward to looking into the mirror every day~ (lol)

Q. (Hard-boiled type)

When you boil your eggs, do you prefer them half-boiled? Or fully hard-boiled?

Or do you prefer your eggs raw?

A.

If I’m boiling eggs I prefer them hard-boiled.

It’s been a long while since I ate eggs raw because in America you can rarely eat raw eggs, but back in Japan I did do a eat-a-raw-egg-daily challenge~.
