I didn’t have that “shining future” within my sights. Despite that, I trusted in my dream, and kept on dancing.
10,000-word long-form interview: Travis Japan Edition
Issue 1, Kawashima Noel: “When I was a Junior”
Travis Japan’s first original song, “Yume no Hollywood”. That song was the final ray of hope that they grasped onto right as they were on the brink of disbandment. Prepared to throw away everything else, they went on to train in America. Their journey has been an incredibly long one. But, despite everything, they wouldn’t have walked any other path. Trusting that the path ahead of the 7 of them would lead to becoming ‘classic’ idols, they’ll continue to run forward from now on.

This is the regular column “Real Thoughts with Kimata Sushi” by JO1’s Kimata Syoya, who loves sushi. For this popular series, he will bring along one member to a trendy sushi restaurant in each issue, and have a heart-to-heart talk while eating delicious sushi. His 6th partner is a member his age, Ohira Shosei.
Ohira Shosei, from JO1’s generation of miracles “S4”, is in attendance!

This time round, we are joined by Ohira Shosei, one of the four members of JO1’s 2000-line “S4”. Tsurubo Shion, who was the guest for the very first issue and who was considered “just a good friend”(of Kimata’s) is also a member of S4, but as for Ohira Shosei, the fans consider him and Kimata to be “twins” because of how in sync they are. In addition, they are also good friends outside of work, and they often go out together on their off days as well.

Noemaru 14 March regular update, 6pm JST
Today, 14 March, is White Day~!🤍
It’s “White” Day, just like the colour I’d chosen to represent myself, so I find myself fairly emotionally attached to this day (*´꒳`*)
Out of all the shades of white in this world, of which it’s said that as many as 200 exist, I’m glad you chose this shade of white, being my member colour in Travis Japan!

This is the regular food column “Real Thoughts with Kimata Sushi”, by Kimata Syoya of the 11-member global boys’ group, JO1. Kimata, who loves and lives for sushi, will select a sushi restaurant suited to the character of the other members, and bring them there, in each issue.
The guest for this issue is the long-awaited Sato Keigo, who hails from the same hometown of Nagoya. In addition to their closeness due to sharing the same hometown, the both of them are also the group’s moodmakers, who will take the initiative to brighten up the mood of any venue. Our expectations are high for the heart to heart talk between these two, who have a lot in common.

dreamweavernyxIt's been a while since I did a translation for this series! I discovered Saucy Dog through Shion being a massive fanboy for them so this particular issue was extra-special to me, I was really thrilled to be able to have the time to work on the translation :> The two of them talk about singing, writing lyrics, and dealing with conflict within the group.
The scan I was relying on was pretty blurry, and I had to guess at the meaning at some parts where the kanji was unreadable. Please excuse me in advance for any minor errors! ;o;

Talk Theme: Music that moves the heart
Saucy Dog and JO1 both made waves when they made their maiden appearance at the 73rd NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen last year.
